Meet the BUMP Fitness Team
Sport and Exercises Science Degree (BSc Hons)
Following his Sport and Exercises Science Degree (BSc Hons) at the University of Gloucestershire in 2005, Calum travelled the East Coast of America successfully coaching at various soccer clubs and clinics.
Calum returned to England to complete his Diploma of Personal Training through Premier Personal Training. Whilst working at LA Fitness he worked closely with Peter Nunn, a recognised specialist in pre and post-natal training. It was during this time that Calum developed his passion for this bespoke and highly specialised field of training.
Calum then moved to Sydney in 2008 and after a short stint at an all-female gym, he established himself at Fitness First Balgowlah, specialising in pre and post-natal training, advanced fat loss training, sport specific and injury related rehabilitation. During this time and combined with the genuine care of his clients and accomplished expertise, Calum built a strong and devoted clientele.
Calum was able to put his experience to great use with his own wife, Vanya, during her pregnancy in 2016. They are the proud parents to their beautiful little girl, Mila.
As a published author and highly respected leader within the industry, Calum has successfully trained over 3,000 personal trainers, teaching his course “A Comprehensive Guide to Exercising Throughout Pregnancy and Beyond”. This course has been accredited by Fitness Australia, attesting to his leading position as an educator within this field of fitness.
Motivated by identifying the non-existence within the market to create and offer women an entire pre and post pregnancy fitness solution, it didn’t take long before the idea to create BUMP emerged.

Having worked as an Exercise Physiologist (Biokineticist) with a special interest in Women’s Health, in South Africa and Hong Kong for more than 10 years alongside Physiotherapists, Podiatrists and Massage Therapists, Hannemari then undertook her Physiotherapy Degree in 2012 in New Zealand. Relocating to Australia after completion of her degree, she then continued her studies in the treatment and management of Women’s, Men’s and Pelvic Health and has focused her work in the this area ever since.

Her main areas of clinical interest are:
Pelvic Girdle Pain

MSportsPhys.GradDipPhys, APA Sports and Exs Physiotherapist, Pelvic Health Physiotherapist
Jenni is the Principal Physio and Clinic Director of Beaches Pelvic Physio. Having qualified from Leeds Metropolitan University (UK) in 1992 she has over 26 years clinical experience. During that time she has completed a Graduate Certificate in Sports Physiotherapy from Manchester Metropolitan University (UK, 1999) and a Masters in Sports Physiotherapy with Distinction from Curtin University (AUS) in 2001 together with extensive advanced courses, seminars and conferences in women’s, men’s and pelvic health and treatment and management of the pelvic girdle, hips and groin amongst others.
Jenni is passionate about treatment and management of the pelvis and has focused on this area for many years. This started during her time working in America, Australia and England as a Sports Physiotherapist (England Men’s Junior and Cadet Volleyball, Company Physiotherapist for Birmingham Royal Ballet), and developed further to encompass the internal aspects of pelvic health after having her own children 13 and 11 years ago. She now integrates both internal and external pelvic assessment, treatment and management techniques to provide very specific, evidence based, recovery programmes for her clients. These progress from basic treatment to return to sport programmes, modified exercise programmes to enable continued participation during the treatment process and tailored technique sessions. It is a rare occurrence when someone is told to stop exercising completely. We will do our best to keep you active and participating even if it’s modified.
Jenni is a firm believer in aiming high. You never know where your safe limit is until it’s reached, so let’s work together to find that limit rather than just saying you can’t do something because of a specific diagnosis.
Jenni has been known to get on her ‘soap box’ on more than one occasion to advocate for Pelvic Health. Traditionally this has been an area of the body that has been a taboo topic with relatively little known about it, even by general Medical and Allied Health Practitioners. This is now gradually changing and is another area that Jenni is passionate about – translating the latest research into everyday knowledge and increasing general awareness of pelvic health issues in the community (both general and medical) to start to reduce the awful statistics that currently exist for pelvic health issues.
On a personal level, Jenni is an ex-National League indoor and beach volleyball player who has recently made a come back to state level volleyball, she has 2 very active daughters and loves a good bit of competition. She can be found in any number of places outdoors – running on the beach or trails, playing volleyball, kayaking, playing tennis or standing by the side of netball, soccer and cricket courts/pitches/ovals.
Her main areas of clinical interest are:
Pelvic Girdle Pain (including pubis symphysis, sacroiliac, coccygeal and deep gluteal pain) – sport, pregnancy or general
Hip, Groin and Back pain/dysfunction – especially those that are not responding to standard treatment
Pelvic Floor Muscle Dysfunction
Prolapse (including vaginal pessary fitting)
Pre-/Post-Natal education, treatment and management
Amy is one of our yoga teachers that specialises yin yoga, vinyasa, philosophy, pre and post natal and advanced assisting. Amy’s into yoga began when a friend was worried that she was becoming to “masculine” as a result of a huge amount of Muay Thai kick box training she was doing at the time.
The first yoga class she went to she fell in love; Amy just had the greatest feeling of euphoria after the class. She then continued her journey with yoga and attended her first yoga retreat in 2013. Amy learnt a lot about herself from this retreat and was encouraged to apply for yoga teacher training. In 2014 Amy took the plunge into teacher training. Her intention was never to teach but to do some soul searching and learn more about herself. This was a transformational experience not only did Amy develop her current knowledge, but she fell in love with the concept of teaching yoga to others.
Amy’s passion to learn and thrive continues as she follows the journey through to her 500 hour training. To keep myself relatable Amy continues to practice yoga regularly and attends personal training once a week.
Amy specialises in: yin yoga, vinyasa, philosophy, pre and post-natal and advanced assisting.
