B S Sc Pyschology, Cert 3 & 4 in Fitness, Lv 1 Yoga Instructor, Cert in Sports Nutrition
I‘ve trained countless mums over the years, but since having had 2 boys of my own, my passion for helping women heal, both physically and emotionally, after the birth of a child, became something I knew would become a lifelong journey.
My passion for fitness began when I was 5 when I started Little Athletics, and never went away. I studied Psychology at University, stemming from my desire to help people live a happier, more fulfilling life. I never worked as a psychologist, but later realised I could join my 2 passions and become a Personal Trainer. I’ve now been in the industry for over 10 years and feel so lucky. After a few years I realised it’s not just getting our heart rate up, but also slowing it down, that people need help with, so I added to my training and became a Yoga Instructor.
I’ve been a dancer all my life. I started when I was 2 years old and was hooked! I had a very successful professional performing career followed by an amazing career teaching people of all ages and abilities to dance. I love to dance and to teach others to dance, working on their technique of course, but predominantly, sharing and passing on my love and passion for the arts.
Obviously in order to have a successful career in the performance industry, there is also a focus on maintaining a fit, strong and healthy body. As a dancer, your body is your tool and you have to condition, maintain and look after it so I have always been a regular gym goer and strong advocate for healthy living.
So, fast forward and I’m now in my 40’s and have two young children. I still love dance and I continue to teach but I wanted to add another string to my bow and be able to help others on their journey to a fitter, stronger, healthier lifestyle. I hold my Certificate III and Certificate IV in Fitness and am a Barre Attack Certified Trainer.
As a mum, we all know the juggle is real and constant! We wouldn’t change it for the world but it can also feel draining and overwhelming. We constantly put the needs of others first and our own personal health, physical and mental, suffers. Through my own experience, I know how intertwined the relationship is between physical and mental health and I want to help others who are struggling to empower themselves; to make themselves healthier, fitter, stronger, happier and feel like they can take on the world.
April started practicing Pilates in 2011 and instantly fell head over heels in love with the way it made her mind and body feel. April practiced Pilates throughout both of her pregnancies and what had started out as an obsession, quickly turned into a desire to teach.
April is passionate about encouraging and helping people achieve their personal goals and develop body and mind awareness. She believes safe and effective movement is the key to a happy and healthy body. It’s a life-changing journey and is always the highlight and happiness of her day. April’s classes are challenging, dynamic, creative, and most importantly fun!
Eliza is a dedicated Pilates and Yoga Instructor, keen on sharing her knowledge of health, movement and self-care throughout every class.
Her passion for movement started at a young age when she fell in love with the physicality, fluidity and strength of dance. With over 15 years of dance experience Eliza moved organically into the health and fitness industry. Here she began to thrive and loved being able to teach people to connect back to their bodies.
In 2016, Eliza graduated from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts with a Bachelor of Arts – Dance. She has since trained to become a Mat, Reformer and Clinical practitioner with a Diploma in Contemporary Pilates. Also holds qualifications in Barre and Yoga.
Kristy, a mum of 3 beautiful little girls, started in the fitness industry over 20 years ago as personal trainer. While working and training in London, she was introduced to Pilates and quickly found her passion. She has now been teaching Pilates for over 16 years, has training in all Pilates apparatus, extensive Pre and Postnatal Pilates experience and her dedication to the practice has never been stronger.
Everyone needs Pilates. I promise, it’s life changing. Come and see for yourself.
My passion for pilates was instantaneous from the moment I stepped foot into a studio. The connection that is made between the mind and body is so unique and I love how gentle yet intense the practice is. After years of self mastery I was organically lead to teaching as I wanted to share the amazing benefits I have been rewarded with with others.
I am a huge advocate for movement for mental health and believe that a healthy mind leads to a healthy body. Pilates has helped me regain my strength mentally and psychically after having both my children and I am stronger and healthier than ever. I aim to inspire and encourage other women that they too can transform and maintain a strong body form the inside out with pilates.
Having been through two pregnancies and two caesareans for the birth of my beautiful boys, I understand what a woman’s body, heart and mind goes through during pregnancy, birth, and beyond. It’s a time when we sometimes feel at our weakest, but I so passionately believe that we as women are wildly capable and strong, and that exercise can play such an important role in our emotional and physical wellbeing.
I am at my absolute happiest being around other women, using my expertise to put together a training program, encouraging you, and seeing you shine with self-belief. The joy I get in seeing you get results, get stronger and gain confidence in your body’s ability literally sets my world alight. It’s why I do what I do.
I strive to be part of a movement of women who prioritise themselves, their bodies and their minds, are kind to themselves, and who challenge themselves to get stronger not smaller.
