Sport and Exercises Science Degree (BSc Hons)
Following his Sport and Exercises Science Degree (BSc Hons) at the University of Gloucestershire in 2005, Calum travelled the East Coast of America successfully coaching at various soccer clubs and clinics.
Calum returned to England to complete his Diploma of Personal Training through Premier Personal Training. Whilst working at LA Fitness he worked closely with Peter Nunn, a recognised specialist in pre and post-natal training. It was during this time that Calum developed his passion for this bespoke and highly specialised field of training.
Calum then moved to Sydney in 2008 and after a short stint at an all-female gym, he established himself at Fitness First Balgowlah, specialising in pre and post-natal training, advanced fat loss training, sport specific and injury related rehabilitation. During this time and combined with the genuine care of his clients and accomplished expertise, Calum built a strong and devoted clientele.
Calum was able to put his experience to great use with his own wife, Vanya, during her pregnancy in 2016. They are the proud parents to their beautiful little girl, Mila.
As a published author and highly respected leader within the industry, Calum has successfully trained over 3,000 personal trainers, teaching his course “A Comprehensive Guide to Exercising Throughout Pregnancy and Beyond”. This course has been accredited by Fitness Australia, attesting to his leading position as an educator within this field of fitness.
Motivated by identifying the non-existence within the market to create and offer women an entire pre and post pregnancy fitness solution, it didn’t take long before the idea to create BUMP emerged.
Business Studies Degree (BA Hons) & Personal Training (Cert III and Cert IV)
With a Business Studies Degree (BA Hons) from the University of Bournemouth, Ross always knew he wanted to help people further enrich their lives. After working for David Lloyd Fitness (in Raynes Park, UK), Ross moved to Sydney in 2010. This then lead him to undergo his Personal Training (Cert III and Cert IV) qualifications and following on from his Pelvic Floor Exercise Certificate, he was able to focus his expertise into pre and post-natal training.
This lead to meeting Calum, where both trainers realised that they shared the same skilled strategy and philosophy to training pre and post-natal women. Ross feels very passionately about women receiving the correct fitness advise during and after pregnancy and genuinely enjoys sharing the journey with his clients.
Like Calum, Ross was also able to put his training into practice when his fiancé Laura was pregnant in 2017. Their son Austin is now a thriving and very active 1 year old.
Ross has trained well over 1000 females in 1:1 and group scenarios, working closely with women’s health specialists to better help prepare for birth and recovery. Ross works closely with his clients to ensure a holistic approach to pregnancy health and wellness, including mindset, diet and recovery. Ross is the author of “Building a Bootcamp for Women” and has worked for one of Australia’s largest companies in group exercise for women, for the past 6 years.
The synergies between Ross and Calum make them an undeniably strong force in the industry, where they both undertake training workshops across Australia to deliver their course – A Comprehensive Guide to Exercising Throughout Pregnancy and Beyond.

BSc hons Physiotherapy
Laura graduated with a BSc (hons) Phsysiotherapy in 2005 and has 13 years experience of treating a wide scope of physiotherapy disciplines. Since arriving in Australia 9 years ago Laura has focused on the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries and incorporating Clinical Pilates as a rehabilitation tool.
Since having her first child in 2014, she came to understand the need for a strong mind and body to assist the journey through pregnancy, birth and the post-natal period. This lead to a special interest in Women’s Health Physiotherapy and the completion of training to enable her to assess and treat pelvic floor dysfunctions, continence issues and pre/post natal conditions. She is passionate about providing women with the necessary education and information to assist their journey and raising awareness of pelvic health.
Laura has two young girls who keep her very busy and amused when not working and finds nothing beats a quiet walk on the beach listening to the sounds of the ocean for a bit of ‘me’ time.
